aamir khanBollywood actor Aamir Khan spoke about discrimination in the Indian society in the tenth episode of his show, ‘Satyamev Jayate’.

The show discussed about the kind of treatment that is meted out to people of the “backward” classes. It also featured people who had fought against this evil system.

Aamir Khan raised a question amongst the audiences as to why even today people are being coldly categorized on the basis of their cast and creed in our country. The show then began with a heart-wrenching story of Dr Kaushal Panwar who was born into a lower-caste family.

The show then moved on to documentary filmmaker Stalin who revealed how untouchability is well-entrenched and is still being widely practiced across the country by people of all religions.

Aamir also discussed the provisions by law to stop manual scavenging. In the end, Aamir urged the people of the country to make a loud noise about manual scavenging and casteism and that every person be treated with dignity irrespective of his background.
