Fans of Akshay Kumar are in for a disappointment as the actor, who recently did death-defying stunts in Rowdy Rathore, will not host the 5th season of the popular action-reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Buzz is that Ajay Devgan might step into Akki’s shoes for the show’s upcoming season. While the channel, Colours, refuses to issue a statement yet, Ajay has confirmed the news saying that he was approached and he would love to be part of the show.
His last tryst with TV was as the judge of a dance reality show ‘Rock n Roll Family’, along with wife Kajol and mother-in-law Tanuja.
It is heard that Akshay turned down the show, as wife Twinkle Khanna, who is pregnant with the couple’s 2nd child, is due to deliver around the same time that the TV show goes on floors. Akshay has been a constant factor with Khatron Ke Khiladi that sees 13 celebrity contestants performs deadly stunts.
Akshay was earlier replaced by Priyanka Chopra in the 3rd season but she failed to leave an impact. Will Ajay Devgan prove to be a good substitute??
